본문 : 시편 139:1-12

하나님 지식은 신앙인에게 가장 중요한 것입니다. 신지식을 바로 갖는 이가 바른 신자가 될 수 있습니다. 본 시는 하나님의 전지하심, 무소부재하심, 전능하심을 계시합니다.

1. 전지하신 하나님께 찬양하라
우리의 지식은 부분적이고 불확실하지만 하나님은 모든 것과 모든 사람을 철저하게 아십니다. 모든 사건, 피조물, 과거와 현재와 미래, 그리고 하늘과 땅과 옥에 있는 모든 것을 구체적으로 아십니다. 우리는 그의 시선을 피할 수도 없고, 그는 우리를 결코 잊어버리지 않으십니다.
하나님의 완전한 지식을 시인은 “여호와여 주께서 나를 살펴보셨으므로 나를 아시나이다”(1절)라고 했습니다. 또 사도 바울은 “깊도다 하나님의 지혜와 지식의 풍성함이여 그의 판단은 헤아리지 못할 것이며 그의 길은 찾지 못할 것이로다”(롬 11:33)라고 했습니다.
이 같이 전지하신 하나님 앞에 죄를 회개하고 그를 의지하면 감사와 찬양이 터질 것이고 위로와 기쁨이 넘칠 것입니다.

2. 무소부재하신 하나님께 찬양하라
죄를 지은 인간은 하나님의 전지 앞에서 도피하고 싶은 욕구가 있습니다. 하늘로 올라가고 스올로 내려가도, 동이나 서로 가도, 흑암도 결코 우리를 무소부재하신 하나님 앞에서 숨길 수 없습니다. 이 사실을 아는 시인은 두려워하거나 걱정하는 것이 아니고 오히려 위로를 받습니다.

3. 전능하신 하나님께 찬양하라
하나님의 전능성을 알지 못하면 하나님을 믿을 수도 알 수도 없을 것입니다. 하나님이 전능하지 못하시다면 하나님보다 더 큰 어떤 힘이 있어야 할 것입니다. 다윗은 하나님의 전능성을 자신에게 적용하며 “주께서 내 내장을 지으시며 나를 모태에서 만드셨나이다”(13절)라고 고백합니다.
전능하신 하나님은 악인과 함께 하지 않으십니다(19-22절). 또한 전능하신 하나님은 하나님의 길에 있는 이들과 계속 함께 하십니다(23-24절)).

결론을 말씀드립니다.
하나님의 전지, 전능 무소부재하심을 믿는 신앙은 우리를 겸손하게 합니다. 하나님의 완전하신 지식 앞에 나 자신을 비추어 보면 우리가 얼마나 초라한 존재임을 알게 되므로 겸손해질 수 있습니다. 겸손은 그리스도인의 중요한 덕성입니다.
바른 하나님 지식은 우리를 위로하고 우리로 하여금 하나님을 위해 살도록 격려합니다. 또한 이 신앙은 우리로 기도하게 합니다. 우리의 필요를 아시는 하나님, 응답하실 능력이 있으신 하나님, 어디서나 기도를 들으시는 하나님께 기도하는 것은 성도의 기본자세입니다. 전능하시고, 전지하시며, 무소부재하신 하나님께 사정을 아뢰어 큰 은혜를 힘입는 하나님의 백성들이 되시기를 주님의 이름으로 간절히 소원합니다.



Praise be to the God who knows everything
(Psalm 139:1-24)


The knowledge of God is very important for the believer. Anyone who rightly understands the knowledge of God is a right believer. Psalm 139 reveals God's omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence.

1. Praise be to God for His omniscience
Our knowledge is a partial and uncertain knowledge, while God knows every thing and every person completely. God concretely knows all events and creatures, past, present and future. He knows everything that is in the heavens, on the earth, and even in hell itself. We cannot avoid His gaze. He never forgets us. Regarding God's complete knowledge, the psalmist said, "You have searched me and you know me" (v. 1). And the apostle Paul said, "Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgements and his paths beyond tracing out" (Romans 11:33)! Likewise, if we confess our sins and rely on the God who is omniscient, our praise and thanks will burst forth, and our comfort and pleasure will overflow.

2. Praise be to God for His omnipresence
The man who has committed sin normally desires to escape from God's omnipresence. Whether we go up to the heavens, make our bed in the depths, or go to the east or to the west, the darkness can never hide us from God's omnipresence. The psalmist knows this fact, and is not worried but comforted.

3. Praise be to God for His omnipotence
If we do not know God's omnipotence, we cannot believe Him or know Him. If He is not omnipotent, there must be a power more powerful than God, which cannot be. David applied God's omnipotence to himself and confessed, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb" (v. 13).
The omnipotent God is never with the wicked (vv. 19-22). Rather, He is with the people who are continually on the path of God (vv. 23-24).

Conclusion
The faith that believes in God's omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence will make us humble. If we look within ourselves standing before God's complete knowledge, we will begin to realize how miserable we are and become humble. Humility is one of the most important virtues of the Christian life.
A right knowledge of God comforts us and encourages us to live for Him. And this faith allows us to pray. The Christian's fundamental attitude must be to pray to the God who knows our needs, hears our prayer anywhere, and has the almighty power to answer our prayer. By lifting our concerns to the God who is omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence, I sincerely pray that all of you will be the people of God who receive His grace in the name of Jesus Christ.
