본문 : 시편 146:1-10

시편 146-150편은 할렐루야로 시작하여 할렐루야로 끝맺는 할렐루야시입니다. 할렐루야는 여호와를 찬양하라는 Hallel과 Jah의 합성어입니다. 본시는 하나님의 백성 된 자의 평생 과제가 하나님을 찬양하는 것임을 가르칩니다.

1. 성민의 평생 과제
하나님의 백성이 평생에 할 일은 하나님을 예배하는 일입니다. 예배는 감사의 응답입니다. 하나님이 누구신지, 우리를 위해 하신 일이 무엇인지 알지 못한다면 우리는 참 예배를 드릴 수 없습니다. 그러므로 우리는 하나님의 속성을 이해하고 생각해야 합니다. 하나님은 성경에서 자기를 계시하셨습니다. 그러므로 성경과 말씀 선포는 예배의 중심이 됩니다.
예배는 지극히 개인적인 것입니다. 아무도 나를 대신해서 예배드릴 수 없습니다. 따라서 우리는 하나님께 우리 자신의 예배를 드려야 합니다.

2. 유일한 찬양의 대상
시인은 3-4절에서 도울 힘이 없는 귀인도 인생도 의지하지 말 것을 경고합니다. 우리는 종종 하나님보다 사람을 더 귀하게 여깁니다. 이것은 예배를 실패로 이끄는 주원인이 됩니다. 우리는 이론적으로 하나님이 가장 중요하다는 것을 알고 있습니다. 그러나 하나님은 우리 눈에 보이지 않고 우리 생각에서 멀리 계십니다. 우리 눈 앞에서 보이는 것은 사람들입니다. 그러나 사람은 연약하고 죽을 존재입니다. 그러므로 우리는 죽을 사람에게 초점을 맞추지 말고 하나님께 찬양하고 예배드려야 합니다.
조건 없이 우리가 의존할 수 있는 유일하신 분은 하나님이십니다. 그는 우리의 찬양을 받으실 오직 한 분이십니다. 왜냐 하면 그는 인간을 구원하시기에 족한 분이시기 때문입니다.

3. 가장 큰 복 주신 이에게 감사하자
사람을 의지하지 않고 하나님만을 의지하고 예배하는 자에게는 큰 복이 약속됩니다. 본시에는 하나님을 여호와라는 언약의 이름으로 7번 나타납니다.
① 여호와는 우리 소망 되신다(5절).
② 여호와는 영원히 진실하심을 지키신다(6절).
③ 여호와는 갇힌 자들에게 자유를 주신다(7절).
④ 여호와는 맹인들의 눈을 여신다(8절).
⑤ 여호와는 비굴한 자들을 일으키신다(8절).
⑥ 여호와는 의인들을 사랑하신다(8절).
⑦ 여호와는 나그네를 보호하신다(9절).

완전히 선하시고, 완전한 능력이 있으시며, 완전히 믿으실만한 하나님만 찬양하며 할렐루야를 외치시는 하나님의 신실한 백성들이 되시기를 주님의 이름으로 간절히 소원합니다.


With Hallelujah
(Psalm 146:1-10)

Psalms 145-150 are the psalms of hallelujah. These psalms begin with hallelujah and end with it. The word 'hallelujah' is a compound word, consisting of halle (praise) and jah (Jehovah).
Psalm 146 teaches those who have become God's people how to praise Him as their main task through their entire life.

1. The holy people's task through their entire life
The task that God's people must work out through their entire life is to worship God. "Worship' is a response of thanks to God. If we do not know who God is and what He has done for us, then we cannot worship Him in truth. Moreover, we must understand and think on His attributes. God has revealed Himself in the Bible. Accordingly, the Bible and the proclamation of God's word are the nucleus of the worship service. Worship is really a personal task. Nobody can worship God on my behalf. Therefore, each of us must worship God individually.

2. The only object of praise
The psalmist warns in vv. 3-4. "Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save." We often consider men to be more precious than God. This becomes the main issue that leads worship into failure. We know that God is theoretically the most precious, but since God is not seen with our eyes, He is often far from our thoughts. We can only see men. Moreover, men are weak and mortal in their existence. Therefore, we must not focus on mortal men, but praise and worship God. Without any condition, the only object that we can rely on is God. He is the only one who should receive our praise. He is the only one who can save human beings.

3. Give thanks to the only one who can give us the greatest blessings
The greatest blessings should be reserved for those who do not rely on men but on God. These are men who worship God as they have promised. In Psalm 146, God's name, Jehovah in the covenant, appears seven times.
(1) The Lord is our hope (v. 5).
(2) The Lord remains faithful forever (v. 6).
(3) The Lord sets prisoners free (v. 7).
(4) The Lord gives sight to the blind (v. 8).
(5) The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down (v. 8).
(6) The Lord loves the righteous (v. 8).
(7) The Lord watches over the alien (v. 9).
